This Privacy Policy describes how Tele-Court collects and uses information.
To provide telephonic court appearance calendaring services, Tele-Court
requires its customer users, who are typically attorneys, to provide contact
information and court case information to facilitate the operation of the
Tele-Court service. This information, including name, firm, address, telephone
and fax numbers and email addresses, are made available online to courts and to
other registered customer users of the Tele-Court system to identify individuals that will
be making future telephonic appearances through Tele-Court. The information made
available is comparable to the information that is typically available to the
public through other sources, such as court systems, PACER, state bar
associations and typical law firm websites. Such information, however, is
only available to other customers on a limited basis in conjunction with their
ability to view the details of other telephonic appearances by other attorneys
on the same day before the same judge.
Tele-Court may ask customer users provide Tele-Court with contact information
for third parties, such as attorneys for opposing parties. Tele-Court may use
this information to give notice regarding appearances scheduled through
Tele-Court and, in conjunction with that notice, to advertise the availability of Tele-Court's services.
Tele-Court uses cookies to facilitate the online scheduling process, for payment processing, for advertisements and for content
control.
Although customer credit card information is collected in conjunction with
Tele-Court transactions, the credit card numbers are actually collected and
utilized solely by PayPal, Tele-Court's credit card processor. The
information collected by PayPal is subject to PayPal's own privacy policies.
Tele-Court doe not itself receive, maintain or otherwise have access to the
customer credit card numbers that are collected in PayPal's online payment
transactions.
If you choose to opt in,
Tele-Court may provide your email address to advertisers screened by Tele-Court
who are seeking to promote services or products of interest to attorneys with an
active litigation practice. If you choose not opt in, Tele-Court will not
provide your email address to such third party advertisers. Tele-Court
reserves the right to provide ordinary mailing addresses and case association
information, which information is a matter of public record, to selected third
parties in Tele-Court's discretion.
Tele-Court's website automatically collects the IP address of all visitors
for purposes of site security. Your IP address may be used to help identify you and your
online transactions or to gather broad demographic information concerning
customer and non-customer visitors.
Tele-Court's site may contain links to other websites, however, Tele-Court is
not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such websites.
In the future, Tele-Court may revise its practices or offer new and
different programs that necessitate a change in the privacy policy. This privacy policy
will be updated to reflect any such changes and additions.
