EVERYTHING IS OPTIONAL You are not required to have access to a computer or to manage anything to use Tele-Court. EASE AND EFFICIENCY Tele-Court relieves court staff of the time-consuming burdens associated with setting up and managing telephonic appearances. Court staff simply direct attorneys and litigants to the Tele-Court website or toll-free customer service number, and Tele-Court handles the rest. SPEEDY CONNECTION When the hearing time arrives, each participant simply dials in, enters a unique secure PIN and is instantly connected to the conference. The court can dial in before the Judge takes the bench and leave the line open until hearings conclude, or dial in when the case is called. COURTROOM & CHAMBERS MODES Tele-Court works the way the court does, with an open courtroom mode where participants are able to listen in--on mute--on other hearings, just as if sitting in the courtroom, and a private chambers mode, where groups of participants are escorted from the hold queue into conference with the Judge on a case by case basis. ABSOLUTELY FREE TO THE COURT Tele-Court's charges are paid by the attorneys and litigants who choose to use the service. There is no cost or expense to the court whatsoever. To the extent that speakerphones or webcams or telephone lines must be installed in the courtroom to accomodate Tele-Court, we pay the cost (or reimburse you) and build it into the cost to the public. |
